Oh no! I found something new and fun to do in all that spare time I have to waste!! Well, I don’t think it’s going to be my umpteenth hobby, because it’s a little too much like work…but it was a lot of fun, thanks to my sister-in-law, Jennifer.
Here’s what I’m talking about, a digital scrapbook page.

Jennifer is very into “Digi-scrapping” and even makes pages to sell/give away to lots of folks on the internet. I used a “kit” she came up with to make this page. She told me about it because I helped her with some of the quilty elements in the kit. I sent her some scans and photos.
You can see her blog and read about the kit here.
Download the kit for FREE (although you have to register to for the forum to get it)
Here’s her preview of the kit:

Conal saw me working on Brennan’s page and wanted one for himself. Here’s the page he helped me make. He likes things a little more colorful!!

Pretty fun, Jennifer, I think we’ll be making more of these pages someday!

I just got done hiding all my thread under lock and key! This is why…kids, cats, & thread don’t mix! Three spools of thread got wrapped around my studio table and chairs, tangled in the little boy’s legs, and batted around by the cat until I couldn’t salvage any of it. Argh! My husband would ask, what I was doing that I didn’t notice this happening…but you wouldn’t believe how quickly kids and cats can get into trouble together!!!

So, I’ll be locking up my thread from now on (not the kid or the cat!)

Here is a fun art project I did with my boys. My youngest really helped me! He placed the beans in my puddles of glue and loved doing it! He also examined the beans carefully before throwing them in. It was cute. I did, of course, have to stop from trying to eat them a couple times. But he’s such a picky eater, I’m sure he would have spit them right out!

Beans glued on to a canvas art board, as seen in the book “Crafty U” by Rosie O’Donnell, an awesome kid art book!!
